Utilizing labels allows for more detailed reporting. After a label is added to a resource, the label appears in usage reports whenever that resource is used. The label data can be used for accounting chargebacks, cost allocation, and usage trending analysis. However, if a report is run in the Skytap UI, there isn't an option to select a label.
In order to filter labels in report output, it's necessary to select the "Line Items" report type and to download the CSV report
- In the Skytap UI, select Manage -> Reporting
-
Select one of the "Line Items" reports found on the reporting page:
-
Once you've generated one of the Line Item reports, export the report to CSV format using the following button:
- Within the CSV itself, you will then see a column with your labels. You can then either sort on the label column or you can search by filtering on your label name to view usage for select environments
