Issue:
When using a Windows VM in Kyndryl Cloud Uplift, you may encounter much slower network speeds compared to Linux VM's (such as Ubuntu), especially when using an Azure ExpressRoute.
Scenario:
If you have a Windows VM and a Linux VM in the same environment within Kyndryl Cloud Uplift, and the Windows VM experiences much slower network performance, the issue may be related to a network adapter setting.
Resolution:
Update the following on your Windows VM:
- Setting: IPv4 TSO Offload
- Action: Set to Disabled
Steps to Configure:
- On your Windows VM, Navigate to:
- Start -> Control Panel -> Network and Internet -> Network and Sharing Center.
- Click Change Adapter Settings.
- Right click the Ethernet Adapter in use and select Properties.
- Click Configure.
- Go to the Advanced tab.
- Locate the IPv4 TSO Offload and set it to Disabled.
- Click OK to apply the changes.
