Symptom:
One of the most common errors encountered when attempting to import x86 and virtual appliances into Skytap is "Your hardware version can’t be downgraded".
Cause:
This error occurs when a VM is exported from the source hypervisor with an unsupported hardware version.
Solution:
If the VM is set to a higher hardware version than what is currently supported, you must downgrade it outside of Skytap before it can be imported.
